Family name Ruch (now Ručević) is one of the oldest in all of
Croatia.

Fleeing from Osmanlian Turks, some of the Ruchs went to Alzase, passing
through Germany and/or Switzerland. |

Bježeći pred Osmanlijama, neki od Rucha otišli su u Alzas, prolazeći

SAŽETAK |
|
Autori pišu o genealoškom istraživanju
obitelji Ručević. Ona potječe iz Slavonije u
istočnom dijelu Hrvatske s područja između
gradova Đakovo i Vinkovci. Prezime je prvi
put uporabljeno kao RUCH 1310., kao
Ručevački (RUCHevachki) 1525. i kao Ručević
(RUCHevich) 1670. U ranom XVI. stoljeću
bježeći pred Osmanlijama, neki od Rucha
odlaze u Alzas u doba nakon 30-godišnjih
ratova (1618.–1648.), prethodno prolazeći
jedno stoljeće kroz Njemačku i Švicarsku.
Kasnije se raseljavaju i diljem svijeta.
Najveća grana familije tada već nazvane
Ručević živi i ostaje u selima Budrovci i
Stari Mikanovci u Slavoniji. Ovaj zapis
genealoška je priča o familiji Ručević iz
Starih Mikanovaca i Budrovaca kao i o
njihovim precima i potomcima diljem Hrvatske
i svijeta. Samo to i ništa više! |

SUMMARY |

The authors write about the genealogical research on the family Ručević. It has its origin in Slavonia in the eastern part of Croatia, in the territory between the cities Đakovo and Vinkovci. The surname was used for the first time as RUCH in 1310, as Ručevački (RUCHevachki) in 1525 and as Ručević (RUCHevich) in 1670. In the early 16th century fleeing from Osmanlian Turks, some of the Ruch went to Alsace at the time after the 30-years War (1618-1648). They were passing through Germany and Switzerland for a century, and later on they settled around the world. The biggest branch of the family already named Ručević at that time, lived in the villages Budrovci and Stari Mikanovci in Slavonia, and has stayed there to the present day. This note is a genealogical story about the family Ručević from Stari Mikanovci and Budrovci as well as about their ancestors and descendants all over Croatia and the world. Only that and nothing more! |
